What is a turn time policy?
A turn time policy is one that allows for a predetermined amount of time a table will take to enjoy their experience. Given the nature of our product and fast paced environment, we have found the most optimal times for diners to enjoy our offerings based on the amount of guests at a table.
Why do you require guests give their full food order, other than desserts, at the same time?
We always hope to provide an efficient and effortless experience for our guests. Our professional and seasoned service staff are here to ensure this. We have found that getting a full order (other than desserts) ensures that orders are accurate and come out in a timely but not rushed manor.
What is a credit card hold?
We are now employing a credit card hold as opposed to a deposit for all dinner reservations in our dining room and at our chef's counter. Tock, our booking partner, will hold your credit card information in the instance a party no calls/no shows for a reservation or if a party cancels out of our grace period. The charge will be $50 per person. While we are exceedingly lenient with cancellations due to the unpredictability of life, no call/ no shows will result in a charge. Please do not ghost us.
Do you book larger parties?
We accept reservations for up to 6 guests on the booking site. While we cannot guarantee offering tables for more than 6 guests, we encourage you to contact us through email (most effective) or by calling us to inquire. For dinner service we are fairly limited in the size we can accommodate given our kitchen capacity and intimate dining room. During our lunch service, larger parties are easily accommodated with advanced notice.
Do you offer valet?
We do! Valet services can be found on the corner of West Gay St. and North High St. in front of Hank’s! The cost is $10.
Where can I park?
Parking directly on High Street does have some time limitations. For dinner service, there is no parking on High Street between 4:00pm and 6:00pm, Monday through Friday. During this time period, ample parking can be found on East Long Street, West Gay Street and at the Leveque Tower parking garage on the corner of West Gay Street and Front Street. Or you can utilize our valet service on the corner of W. Gay St. and N. High St.
Do you offer gluten free items?
While we do offer some gluten free items, we cannot guarantee some level of cross contamination. As we are a self proclaimed "house of gluten", we advise our diners to be aware of flour being almost everywhere in the building. Creating delicious and freshly made pastas and breads has its sticking points.
Do you have other locations?
While we used to be located on Winter Street in Delaware, we now call Downtown Columbus our only home for Speck. We do have several siblings in the area though, that we encourage you to visit. Veritas and Citizens Trust are just around the corner.
Do you accept walk-ins?
We do accept walk-ins. However, reservations are highly advised, especially for our high volume nights on Fridays and Saturdays.
Do you have high chairs or booster seats?
We do not have either. You may bring your own as long as they are not disruptive to service or damage our tables. We also highly advise against large strollers as they are also disruptive to proper service.
